Hemingway Highball

Dive into cocktail history with our take on the Hemingway Special, also known as the Papa Doble. This iconic drink was first crafted in Havana's El Floridita bar by the legendary bartender, Constantino Ribalaigua Vert. He created it specifically for Ernest Hemingway, who after tasting the bar's standard frozen Daiquiri, requested something stronger and without sugar. The result was a double rum hit that Hemingway adored.

A refreshing twist

The classic recipe was later enhanced by Antonio Meilan, who introduced maraschino liqueur and grapefruit juice, giving us the version many know and love today. Our twist on this timeless cocktail? We've added Pink Grapefruit soda for a modern highball take, making it even more refreshing and perfect for sipping on a sunny afternoon.
